Working from home

any ideas that can be shared to make this an even more pleasant work environment?
i know for me it would be more interacting with other business owners living the same life style.

I am so glad that each of you answered my letter.
I am here in Vt and lord knows it is a lovely state but it is best suited to be born in and or to die in. Living is very, very hard to do here esp. pre computer.
My business is only able to be run thanks to the computer as most towns, cities have minimum large stores or retail opportunities esp. compared to the cities in other states.
We still have tiny, tiny towns where the post office is in the general store. Very nostalgic and great to visit. but darn it is not the least bit conduscive to growth.
I have grown kids so that my home is mine and it is relatively quiet so the setting is pretty good.
The other thing is that I am finding that due to being admonished about higher education for so long I ended up limping away with only a few classes under my belt. I have had to learn a lot of the computer skills by myself which equal many wasted hours of productivity as well.
Does anyone have any ideas for becoming proficient in a very short time on ad design and brochure write ups?? These things are making me nuts. I know how to make the tri fold brochure but not what to say that will add to the products appeal. You know... REALLY, REALLY make it stand out.

A few years back I took a keen interest in handwriting analysis. Although I just did a wee bit of study for my own entertainment I can tell you this,.... look at the way the writing is cursive and then switches back to printing and then of course the gross changes within the parameters of each. You can even ignore the words just look at the letters. This woman gives the appearance of instability. It screams instability. Make an appt with the psychiatrist for her and then put the appt. card in an envelope and send it directly to her.

well i was given the 2 hour long conversation on "how i am a evil unacceptable person".
as in my last thread, i stated that my sister went threw my house and found pictures of my children in their halloween costumes.

Freedom Lover is right. Boundaries!!! Starting with why is she searching YOUR home.
Unless she is paying your rent, mortgage , taxes etc she is a 'guest' in your home and will honor the boundaries afforded her as such. That includes coming in when allowed, calling first of course, removing dirty footwear and if she can be polite she might just get some refreshment.
I spent many, many years cramming their beliefs down the throats of 3 innocent little boys and dragging them kicking and screaming to meetings. I even would have to run through the bushes and the woods to bring them back to the house to catch our ride on Sunday ams. Leaving me looking like a bag lady with torn nylons and bloody scratches on my legs. But I did this as I was determined to fulfill my duty as being a great mommy as dictated to me by all the elderettes in the borg. The elderly sister that gave us rides never had the inclination to wait for me to clean up so I always looked trashed.
Now I have 3 adult sons who can not figure out whether to hate me for dragging them through this torture while giving them nothing for good happy memories or whether to hate me for waiting all these years and then leaving a belief system that I had convinced them meant life.
What I am saying is this type of cruelty and harshness is a two edged sword. Enjoy your baby and remember she hit you with the only weapon that she had that could hurt you... your relationship with your daughter.
She must have been shocked when her circular reasoning fell short on you!!! hehehehe
You are a good and kind soul. Never forget that. p.s. frame that holloween and the birthday pics of your little girl and put them on the walls.

Good Friend is dying
by pratt1 inmy mom just called to tell me that a good friend of mine when i was in the "lie" is dying of colon cancer.. he asked my mom to talk to me about going to see him in the hospital before he goes into hospice.
even though i have been faded for over 10 years, when my mom spoke to me i could only remember the good times we had as friends when we were kids, so it was a no brainer for me, i am going to see him this afternoon.
i also asked my mom to get the phone number of another childhood friend who grew up with us that is dfed.

This might be helpful to the family... almost all of the states have programs that go by such names as "spend down". The government does NOT tell people about any of this. Have a family member go to billing at the hospital and also to social services and if they qualify EVERY hospital bill will be flushed immediately. This has to happen in order for the hospitaql to continue to get federal monies. This will also open them up immediately ( I believe) for state insurance for 6 months post to applying as well as 6 months in the future. I have seen this happen with many people and it works. Tens of thousands of dollars disappear off the books within seconds. The push of a couple of computer keys and your bill is a distant history.

Been quiet under the "FRIENDS" area lately
by Cabin in the woods init is getting better weather in some areas so i am certain that this is why things have quieted down.
i am hopefully going to meet another member of this forum and his wife this week end and am very, excited.
aside from the weather being cold, snowy and just annoying there is not any news on the mountain but how about the rest of you?.

I was kinda down and out today....
by IronClaw inso i went for a ride and stopped by this scenic overlook not to far from my house.
i sat on the bench there just looking at the mohawk valley at its best.
i started thinking what a waste life is when you don't have anyone to share beautiful moments like this with.

Hey there Claw!
One thing that I have noticed about the JWs is that the harder they push someone to see things their way and to make choices that put the 'secret society ' first the more obvious it is that they are seeing tiny cracks and fissures in that persons resolve.
Here is a suggestion... even though your heart is breaking you need to smile and get out and have some fun. If it just seems impossible right now then get a hobby just do something that helps to calm you . She needs to see that leaving the borg brings peace and happiness. If she sees you a broken man then that just bolsters her jaded views. This probably sounds ludicrous right now but it really does help.
Just a thought.
